Start a Mediation

Take the first step towards resolving your dispute.

Making an enquiry is entirely without obligation. Tell us about the dispute and the parties, and we will check conflicts, availability and suitability before coming back to you.

Initial discussion

Every mediation begins with a conversation

Before any commitment is made, we will talk through the matter with you in confidence. During that initial discussion ProMediate will:

  • Understand the dispute
  • Carry out a conflict check
  • Discuss whether mediation is suitable
  • Explain the mediation process
  • Provide an indication of costs
  • Discuss timescales and availability

Additional information

Please do not upload or send substantial case papers at this stage. We will first check conflicts, availability and suitability, and will then invite documents if required.

Submitting this form does not create a mediator-client relationship or amount to acceptance of an appointment. ProMediate will first check conflicts, availability and whether the matter is suitable for mediation.

If your matter is a consumer complaint against a trader, it is dealt with under our separate Consumer ADR scheme, which has its own terms. Those terms do not apply to commercial or civil mediation.

Mediation Terms & Conditions

Before submitting your enquiry, please read our Mediation Terms and Conditions. They explain how a mediation is arranged and conducted, its voluntary, confidential and without prejudice nature, the basis on which fees are charged, and how your information is handled. Your acceptance is recorded with your enquiry.

Read the Mediation Terms and Conditions (opens in a new tab) →

Each participating party will also be asked to accept these Terms, and to sign the mediation agreement for the case, before the mediation takes place.

Your enquiry is transmitted securely and held in confidence. You will be given a unique reference beginning PM-MED.
